RECENT STATISTICS:

•  Served 4,094 adults seeking mental health or substance abuse services

•  50% were homeless at the time of admission

•  96% were diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness

•  77% had an annual income of less than $8,000

•  930 homeless individuals were provided with emergency, short-term or permanent affordable housing and ongoing support services after receiving outreach services in shelters, soup kitchens and on the street

•  15 consumers of services were hired by Detroit Central City CMH for part-time employment as mentors, outreach workers, greets, and peer support specialists

30 individuals received literacy training including reading, writing, and financial management
