Assessment Specialist

This is a transitional employment opportunity at the Cozy Corner Sundry Store located at 640 Temple. Individuals are provided with vocational skill building on a temporary part-time basis. The purpose of this job is to provide training for an individual that will lead to employment. The staff of the Inner City Clubhouse must refer individuals. The individual must have a physical exam, including a drug screen prior to beginning employment. Individuals understand that this is transitional employment. Data Entry Clerk

Fiscal Officer

The Fiscal Officer has responsibility for coordination and execution of all financial and information system related activities including development and maintenance of the Detroit Central City budget. The Fiscal Officer will monitor the overall financial health of the organization, conducting strategic financial analysis including the development of long-term financial projections, evaluation and negotiation of new business ventures, as well as ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting, financial reporting and data functions. This person will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer. The scope of this responsibility required detailed knowledge of the fiscal guidelines of the principle funders of DCC as well as its regulatory and accrediting bodies. Greeter

This position is a Transitional Employment Position for Detroit Central City CMH managed through the Psychosocial Rehab. It is a part-time, temporary position. The Greeter is responsible for providing a consumer oriented, welcoming presence in the lobby of the building. The Greeter directs consumers to the appropriate offices, provides basic information regarding where a consumer can obtain the necessary assistance in the building and alerts the necessary personnel regarding potential problems and/or concerns. As a TEP of the Clubhouse, the TEP staff is responsible for assuring that an appropriately trained Greeter is available for this position on a daily basis. Housing Specialist (Case Manager)

Medical Records Clerk

Performs reimbursement functions appropriate to the billing process, including but not limited to billing insurance providers (Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, etc.) for monthly reimbursement, correction and re-submission of claims previously rejected by insurers, researching payment status, reviewing codes, etc. Works with clinical and management staff to design and develop reports and provide training on usage. Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist

The Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist is responsible for operating the Substance Abuse Prevention Grant awarded by the State of Michigan and the City of Detroit to Detroit Central City CMH, Inc. The Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist will be expected to conduct substance abuse prevention education classes for consumers identified as being at risk for the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist is expected to document and report consumer contact to MIS Personnel. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or human service field.
